Yohji Yamamoto & adidas Introduce '80s Punk-Inspired Long Boots
An avant-garde way to wear your rebellion.

Yohji Yamamoto and adidas have collaborated once more for yet another forward-thinking, avant-garde item. This time around, the two brands take inspiration from ’80s punk subculture for a bold yet minimal take on long boots. Fittingly, adidas and Yamamoto’s new lace-up shoes are known as the “80’s Punk Boots,” and feature a built-in 5 cm insole, white stitching, and a full back zipper. Following the design of similar “Punk” releases from YY and adidas, the new iterations have a similar look to the recently-released “Punk Superstar.”
The new Yohji Yamamoto x adidas “80’s Punk Boots” are set to retail for about $522 USD, and will begin to appear at retailers tomorrow, April 8. Most recently, the Yohji Yamamoto brand took on the classic Stan Smith.
