Once Again, J. Cole Goes Platinum Without Any Features

J. Cole‘s devoted fanbase now has more fuel to add to the fire that is the “platinum with no features” meme. As revealed by J. Cole’s own Instagram account earlier today, the Dreamville rapper’s Forest Hills Drive followup, 4 Your Eyez Only, has gone platinum… without a single featured artist or guest appearance. “Congrats to @realcoleworld 4 Your Eyez Only is now Certified Platinum by the RIAA,” reads the caption on J. Cole’s official announcement. Released on December 9 of last year, 4 Your Eyez Only delivered 10 new songs from Cole and featured production from Boi-1da, Frank Dukes, Vinylz, Cardiak, Elite and more. Considering the fervor behind J. Cole’s last platinum plaque, one can expect the online response to be just as passionate this time around.
Besides his latest LP, J. Cole has a 4 Your Eyez Only documentary on the way. Last month, J. Cole also lent his beat-making abilities to a new J.I.D and EarthGang track.
