Nike Gives the Air Max Plus an Ultra Makeover
The Swoosh introduces a modernized take on the late ’90s release.
Things have been mostly quiet on the Air Max Plus front ever since NikeLab gave the late ’90s runner a pool-inspired makeover last fall, but now the kicks are back as the subject of the Swoosh’s latest Ultra makeover. Aptly dubbed the Air Max Plus Tn Ultra, the new design modernizes the 1998 Air Max shoe’s construction a bit — most notably with a comfy inner bootie — and sheds weight with a streamlined upper and modified tooling. Dynamic Flywire also makes an appearance for improved support.
Air Max Plus fans can find the new Ultra design now in a “Binary Blue” colorway from NSW spots like Titolo.
