Throughout the year, Migos and other members of the Quality Control crew have hinted at a QC compilation project. With 2017 coming to a close, Quavo has come through with an official statement regarding the project and imminent release date.

Taking to Instagram, Quavo has unveiled a promotional vignette for the Quality Control compilation and revealed this Friday, December 8 as the project’s release date. Titled Control the Streets Vol. 1, the effort has been supported by songs such as May’s Migos single “Too Hotty” and the Young Thug and Lil Yachty collaboration “On Me.” While a tracklist is currently unavailable, 2 Chainz and Nicki Minaj are expected to appear on the project, and Quality Control Music’s latest prospect Lil Baby probably played a significant role in its creation.

Besides Quavo, QC architect Coach K also took to his Instagram today to provide an update on Control the Streets. “The last 48hrs I’ve been deep in this room putting that work in. I can’t wait to the world hears this magic we’re about to drop,” reads the caption of a newly-posted photo.

Check back in this Friday, December 8 for a stream of Quality Control’s Control the Streets Vol. 1. Next up from Migos: the anticipated sequel to this year’s Culture LP, Culture 2.
