Fans Bring 'Gremlins' Back for the Holidays With New Short Film
An unofficial third film has arrived.
Directer Ryan Patrick resuscitated the beloved ’80s franchise Gremlins just in time for the holidays. Gremlins: Recall once again centers around Christmastime Mogwai’s misadventures.
The 10-minute film centers around a new breed of critters, manufactured by a company that promises them to be safe, family-friendly pets. Shot on location in Los Angeles, the clip follows waitress Claire, Mogwai-wrangler Owen and cafe manager Deb. Needless to say, it wouldn’t be a Gremlins film if they really were cured of their nasty transformation, and things quickly take a turn for the worse.
