Joey Bada$$ Named PONY's First-Ever Creative Director
The 22-year-old Brooklynite takes on yet another role.
New York-based rapper and actor, Joey Bada$$, has been named the first-ever creative director of PONY. With the naming comes a collaborative footwear capsule that envisions the classic aesthetic of PONY with that of the 22-year-old Pro Era co-founder.
With Bada$$ being a product of Brooklyn, the lookbook sets the borough as the backdrop as a nod to his upbringing. The shoes themselves are detailed with a premium suede upper atop a white midsole with the classic PONY chevron emblazoned on the side. Playing off the Pro Era color scheme, the sneakers will be available in red, green and yellow with an additional burgundy colorway dropping in February of 2018.
