BornxRaised Tackles Gentrification for Culturally-Influenced Fall/Winter 2017 Lookbook
Delivery two has arrived.

Back in October, BornxRaised presented a closer look at the brand’s politically-charged first delivery of fall. Following up that run, the California brand delivers the second delivery of its Fall/Winter 2017 collection.
Starring Venus X and Paloma Elsesser as its primary models, the Renell Medrano-photographed lookbook for the second part of BornxRaised’s Fall/Winter 2017 run was shot in the Bronx and continues the themes of the previous installment. Taking inspirational cues from his family’s background, BornxRaised’s Spanto produces a socially-minded array of hoodies, T-shirts and cut-and-sew pieces. “I grew up in a native culture, learning from the way that my father taught me. We confront modern gentrification across our culture and in my hometown of Venice Beach every day,” Spanto explains.
You can check out the lookbook for the second delivery of BornxRaised’s Fall/Winter 2017 collection above. The collection drops December 8th at 12 p.m. PST.
