Goldwin 0 Looks to Natural Phenomena for Fall/Winter 2024 Collection
The third collection helmed by guest designer Nur Abbas.
Goldwin has unveiled the Fall/Winter 2024 collection for its experimental project, Goldwin 0. After joining the brand last year as a guest designer, Nur Abbas collaborated with Goldwin for the third season of the technical diffusion line.
Inspired by the spiral structures found in nature, such as the concept of rolling paper into a tube shape and allowing it to unfold, the collection uses the concept to form jacket sleeves and pant legs. Garments are loose but structured nonetheless and range in their curvature and texture.
Accompanying the collection is a selection of cropped puffers and vests layered over long-sleeve waffle shirts and sweaters. Abbas utilized GORE-TEX for the jacket to create a paneled design, which serves to minimize water intrusion. A parka, meanwhile, uses a spiral design for optimal insulation.
The lookbook was photographed in the forest, juxtaposing the crisp gear with natural phenomena.
The Goldwin 0 Fall/Winter 2024 collection will be available beginning on October 18 at Goldwin’s flagship stores and official online store.
On the launch day, an exhibition titled “Goldwin 0 1 2 3 4 5 0: Retrospective Exhibition” will be held in collaboration with design studio OK-RM at Tokyo’s Spiral Hall, showcasing three years of the brand’s exploratory research. The event will include a premiere screening of a film bearing the same name as the exhibition, a presentation of special publications, and a talk session with OK-RM.
