A Closer Look at PORTER's Converse Chuck Taylor All Star
A unique fabric, designed exclusively for the 100th anniversary collaboration.
Following up on the announcement of PORTER and FRAPBOIS x Converse collaboration, we have a closer look at PORTER’s redesign. The understated Chuck Taylor All Star features the Japanese brand’s typically forward-looking approach to textiles.
Retaining the silhouette of the All Star, PORTER offers an understated update to the classic model for its 100th anniversary, eschewing fancy designs for upgraded materials. PORTER is no stranger to unique fabrics, utilizing exclusive nylons and cottons across its accessories range, seen in collaborations with brands like Stone Island, BAPE and WTAPS. For this sneaker collaboration, PORTER makes use of an exclusive duck fabric to ensure a hard-wearing shoe. The shoe also features orange Converse and PORTER tags at the heel, a blue logo under the sole and a co-branded insole. The collaborative sneaker comes in a Converse-branded, PORTER-tagged drawstring bag.
The PORTER x Converse Chuck Taylor All Star releases in Japan on November 11. Meanwhile, we recently took an on-feet look at the Golf le Fleur x Converse One Star.
