William Gibson and Buzz Rickson's Drop Updated Repro Flight Jacket
Taking cues from Gibson’s futuristic novels.
Legendary sci-fi writer William Gibson and reproduction label Buzz Rickson’s have reunited for another collaborative flight jacket. The L-2B is an update of the past MA-1 release, with scores of authentic details.
Crafted from wind and water-resistant nylon, the black jacket features snap buttons and a zipper pocket on the left sleeve. Herringbone zip tape, a substantial Crown zipper with USAF-approved leather pull and blue nylon lining add visual interest to the understated piece. The piece features extremely particular details like four pencil sleeves on the left sleeve pocket — featuring anti-puncture pencil caps made from 1945 USAF brass — and accurately manufactured wool knit wrists, collar and waist facets. A special co-branded tag completes the jacket.
