Stone Island Teams up With Porter on a Technical Bag Collection
Italian technical fabrics meet Japanese bags.
After introducing its thermo-sensitive Grid Camo capsule, legendary Italian technical brand Stone Island has unveiled a collaboration with Japan’s Porter. The collection mixes Stone Island’s material expertise with Porter’s legacy of bag manufacturing.
Porter’s backpack, duffle and portfolio bags have been reworked in a Nylon Metal Black Watro fabric, with a rip-stop design that references the Stone Island House Check pattern. The bags’ appearance also integrates the star from Stone Island’s logo into a vertical and horizontal checked pattern. As is typical with the Italian brand, the collection also features a range of innovative techniques, with the fabric undergoing a resin treatment for water resistance and the garments dyed through a double-color recipe with additional anti-drop agent.
The collection is available now from the brand’s web store, with prices ranging from £175 GBP to £525 GBP (approximately $230 USD to $695 USD). This is the latest in a string of collaborations from Porter, with the brand recently working with WTAPS and Marni.
