New Balance Gives the 995 a Reflective "Northern Lights" Rework
Simple but striking.

A couple months ago, New Balance revealed plans to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the 995 with a fall-ready “Angora” and “Mercury Red” iteration of the shoe. Following up that model, New Balance introduces a continuation of its recent “Northern Lights” 998 for the latest spin on the iconic 995.
The Boston-based brand’s latest production features a grey upper — made up of pig suede and normal, high-quality leather — and reflective paneling on top of a Vibram-propelled bottom. With the right lighting, this sneaker’s paneling allows certain tones to stick out among the grey cloud of the upper region.
You can take a look at the new New Balance 995 “Northern Lights” above, while the shoe itself is currently retailing for $180 USD at Premier.
Earlier this month, NB also linked up with designer Olaf Hussein for a discussion on Amsterdam’s “rising creative culture.”
