Young Taiwanese brand Professor.E has unveiled its Fall/Winter 2017 collection. Offering a blend of Song for the Mute‘s moodiness and Greg Lauren’s remade clothing, the collection features prints, muted hues and a keen eye for detail.
After graduating from the Fashion Institute of Taipei, the anonymous designer debuted a small Spring/Summer 2017 collection and some remade garments — this new collection is the brand’s first complete seasonal offering. Taking cues from Harry Clark’s drawings of Faust, Professor.E styles long shirts and oversized coats with relaxed, tapered pants and sleek black leather shoes. Although some of the proportions recall household names like Yohji Yamamoto, the designs are personalized with patchwork and inventive darting. Harness features, covered plackets, inverted seams and handstitched details elevate the line and a variety of bags and woven accessories round out the selection.
Check out the brand’s website for more information and expect the drop later this year. In somewhat related news, Yohji Yamamoto’s Y’s and New Era debuted its new collection last month.
