adidas AlphaEDGE 4D Will Offer Futurecraft Technology to the Public
Next level sole units.

adidas is scheduled to release its Futurecraft 4D runner in limited quantities sometime this coming December, but given its extremely high demand and low supply, it’s likely that the high-tech model will be out of reach to the masses. As a solution to this inevitable issue, adidas is introducing a new model called the AlphaEDGE 4D, which will offer Futurecraft technology to the public.
The advanced model boasts an upper made of FORGEFIBER technology — a process that uses TPU-coated yarn and stitching compression at pressure points for ultimate strength in motion — and a unique lacing system. The main characteristic, however, is the sole unit made with light and oxygen via Digital Light Synthesis, a 3D printing process that provides unprecedented support, cushioning and energy return.
The adidas AlphaEDGE 4D is reported to launch in May 2018 — stay tuned for official release information and let us know your thoughts on this new model. To read up on more of adidas’s boundary-pushing technology, check out THE SNEAKER LAB by Andy Chiu: Exploring the adidas Futurecraft 4D.
