Streetsnaps: Paris Fashion Week June 2016 - Part 1
Ugly is the new black.
Following on from Milan, we continue our continental survey of Europe’s fashion week crowd with a final stop in Paris. Here, ironic, cooler-than-thou streetwear took hold, remaining very much on trend in the “lowbrow” vein of Vetements and Gosha Rubchinskiy. Cue T-shirts featuring everything from psychedelic Jimi Hendrix graphics to wrestlers and underground bands, alongside a strangely strong showing of football tees and motocross jerseys. Sneakers caught on camera continued this theme of deliberate ugliness, from New Balance dad runners to bulbous Raf Simons sneakers.
