Missoni Goes Safari for Its 2017 Spring/Summer Collection

Next summer, Missoni wants you to go on an adventure. With Milan Fashion Week in full swing, the high-end Italian design house came to the stage war-ready for 2017 spring/summer with jungle safari and Wild West-inspired looks rendered in military greens, earthy beiges, deep maroons and aquamarine blues. Sweaters bedecked in colorful parrots are a slight contrast to the suits and embroidered cowboy shirts, while print-heavy tops are tied together with sashes slung over each model’s lithe hips. The relaxed, explorer theme is then rounded out with camel brown woven belts that match the collection’s range of summer-ready moccasins. Whether crocheted onto Cuban-collared shirts or woven into sashes, Missoni’s signature zig-zag motifs also make their way into the new collection and reinterpreted across a variety of items for the season.
