LEGO Creator's Volkswagen Beetle Is Amazingly Detailed
Fully equipped with roof rack, movable seats and a spare tire.

LEGO is back at it again with an exciting set for vintage car fans. For the Type 1 Volkswagen Beetle, the company wanted to get as accurately detailed as possible to match the original model’s classic ’60s look. Those really into the German-made Bug will appreciate the translation of its iconic curved shape, period-correct hubcaps and circular lights. To get even more detailed, this light-blue model also has a roof that opens to reveal the movable seats, doors and hood. The spare tire in the trunk will surely have appreciators feeling nostalgic, while the four different sets of license plates allow builders to give the ride its own unique finish. To top it off, since the Type 1 is renowned for its California beach vibe, the addition of a surfboard, cooler, bottles and towel are perfect when using the car for display. It measures 11 inches high, 10 inches long and 4 inches wide.
The 1,167-piece set will go on sale August 1 for $100 USD.
