A nod to the famous Danish open-faced sandwich.
Just last month, Berlin’s OVERKILL took on hummel’s OG rendition of the Marathona and now mita sneakers is doing the same. A nod to the sportswear imprint’s homeland of Denmark, the kicks pay homage to the famous Danish open-faced sandwich, the smørrebrød. The result is a combination of rye- and salmon-inspired hues across suede and mesh construction while mita’s signature chainlink fence motif decorates the custom footbeds.
Look for the Marathona OG “Ssmørrebrød” to drop in limited quantities this Saturday, December 10.
