OVERKILL Puts Its Spin on hummel's Marathona
With a little help from fellow sneaker enthusiasts Coolmodie and Doom.
Berlin-based OVERKILL was recently hard at work on its own version of 1983’s resurrected OG hummel Marathona when fellow sneaker enthusiasts Coolmodie and Doom stopped through. Naturally, the Berlin crew couldn’t help but hit their friends up for some insights. Thus, we have the “CDO” rendition of the early ’80s runner.
A throwback to the colorful look of ’90s sportswear, the kicks are highlighted by a gradient mesh that transitions from light violet to deep purple. Joining the gradient is optical white micro suede throughout while OVERKILL branding hits everything from the tongue and mudguard to the lace tag and tips. The collab even comes with matching old school tube socks for good measure.
The limited-edition “CDO” take on the Marathona drops in-store November 25 while any remaining pairs will hit OVERKILL’s website the following day.
