The retirement news continues to trickle in today, as Ronda Rousey follows Ray Allen and Miroslav Klose with talks of her retirement, however not immediate. Ronda appear on The Ellen DeGeneres Show today ahead of her December 30 title fight against Bantamweight Champion Amanda Nunes. The two begin their conversation discussing Ronda’s conditioning and training, as well as her precious time with family. Ellen then probes about the future of her career and when she plans to call it quits, where the Olympic Gold Medalist stated “Not that long, I’m wrapping it up. This is definitely one of my last fights.” When asked why, the 29-year-old responded with

I think it’s more of the build-up that’s more tiring than anything else. Like, if we had a fight right now, I’d be like, I’d fight right now and I’ll go get dinner, and I wouldn’t feel like really tired about it. It’s the weeks and weeks of build-up beforehand, and you know you’re fighting this one person, and it’s this showdown, the most important thing in your life, and millions of people are watching. It’s that build-up for weeks on end. If it just happened right now, I wouldn’t be nervous at all. It’s the waiting.

What do you think, can Ronda reclaim her spot atop UFC before she retires?
