The Weeknd Will Be the New Face of H&M's Upcoming Campaign
Starboy for 2017 spring.
Former soccer great David Beckham and comedian Kevin Hart have enjoyed the limelight being the faces of H&M’s past and current commercials and ads. However, looking to join them is pop-star sensation The Weeknd who has now been chosen to be part of the the fast fashion brand’s new 2017 spring campaign. For the new project, The Weeknd will get to advertise a “Spring Icons” lineup, which include timeless menswear pieces set to debut on March 2 at stores internationally.
The Starboy artist is no stranger to the fashion industry, having linked up with PUMA and releasing his own capsule of music merchandise. The H&M collab release will also come at a good time since the drop happens on the first leg of the artist’s Legend of the Fall World Tour. In the image below provided by The Weeknd to announce the campaign, we see him wearing a bomber jacket detailed with his ‘XO’ symbol. It’s very likely that we will see this motif throughout the collection. Stay tuned with us as more information develops about this fashion and music team-up.
