Nike Unveils the Kobe A.D.
The Black Mamba’s first post-retirement signature silhouette is here.
After teasing an announcement yesterday, Nike and the Black Mamba have made good on their word: Kobe Bryant’s first post-retirement signature silhouette is officially on the way.
Dubbed the Kobe A.D., the new design continues the Kobe line‘s “legacy of lightweight, low-profile on-court footwear” (silhouettes like the Kobe 9 Elite notwithstanding). The result is the perfect followup to Bryant’s already iconic 60-point performance in his final game and combines Zoom Air cushioning in the heel with a Lunarlon midsole, a low-profile rubber outsole and a breathable mesh upper that incorporates Dynamic Flywire for added support.
Debuting in an all-grey look with an iridescent external heel counter, the Kobe A.D. is set to launch November 21 for $160 USD.
