Footpatrol Celebrates Karhu's 100th Anniversary With a Limited-Edition Fusion 2.0
Honoring the Finnish outdoors.
This year marks Karhu’s 100th anniversary, so there’s no better time for a renowned sneaker spot like Footpatrol to put its own spin on one of the Finnish brand’s silhouettes — and that’s exactly what’s on tap for this upcoming weekend. Coming in the form of a limited-edition take on the Fusion 2.0 (an update of 1996’s original Fusion), the co-branded release pays homage to Finland’s love for the outdoors — 65% of the country is covered in forest — and takes on earthy hues to go with premium pigskin, perforated nubuck and ballistic nylon construction. Other details include hiking-inspired lace loops — black on the medial side, white on the lateral — along with three sets of rope laces and custom footbeds with a mountain motif that extends to the custom packaging. Finally, Footpatrol branding comes embossed across the heel of each shoe while the outfit’s signature gas mask logo graces the insoles.
Footpatrol’s Fusion 2.0 drops this upcoming Saturday, October 29, both in-store and online for £125 GBP (approximately $153 USD).
