McQ by Alexander McQueen 2016 Spring/Summer Collection
British punk and mod culture returns in subtle ways.

McQ by Alexander McQueen presents a range of smart-casual menswear for the 2016 spring season. The forthcoming ready-to-wear collection takes hints of British punk and mod influences, and is comprised of wardrobe staples like bomber jackets, blazers, wrinkled washed leather jackets, hooded sweatshirts, crewneck sweaters, button-up shirts, and shorts. The collection holds a neutral color palette of black, gray and blue but also debuts new abstract patterns while the McQ branding is reimagined into a minimal aesthetic. Proportions are played with as culottes and wide-legged pants are offset by fitted jackets and tops. The subsidiary label of the Alexander McQueen fashion house continues to be imagined by Creative Director Sarah Burton and the range of contemporary, laid back silhouettes is a refreshing departure from the main line’s formal wear.
