New Balance Introduces the New 2016
The 2016 ahead of 2016.

Thanks to the likes of its REVlite and Fresh Foam technologies, New Balance has done well as of late to modernize some of its most iconic silhouettes. Now the American brand is taking that archival DNA and contemporary tech to introduce a brand new silhouette for the new year. Simply — and aptly — dubbed the 2016, the new shoe comes courtesy of New Balance’s Tokyo Design Studio and takes cues from classic styles to create a shoe that can hold its own alongside the likes of the 1500, 1400, 998, 996 and 580. Streamlined and dressed in monochromatic uppers of black and grey, the 2016 boasts a sleek upper that sees the quarter panels, midfoot and toe fused into a single seamless panel — either of suede or leather — while pebbled leather hits both the tongue and collar.
Finished with a stark white ABZORB midsole and gum rubber outsole, the 2016 can be found now from the likes of Berkeley’s Bows & Arrows ahead of the new year.
