Naomi Scott and Lukas Gage Star in 'Smile 2'
Arriving two years after ‘Smile,’ the film hits theaters this fall.
The sequel to the 2022 horror film Smile is on the way. Today, Paramount unleashed the unnerving trailer for Smile 2, the follow-up to the film which stars an entirely new cast of characters in the same universe, including Naomi Scott and Lukas Gage.
Scott stars as pop star Skye Riley, readying to embark on a world tour when she begins getting confronted by those notorious smiling faces. Gage, her companion Louis, is the first full-toothed smile she comes in contact with, as he breaks out into the disturbing grin and then begins smashing his head with a workout plate.
“Something really crazy is happening to me,” Riley explains, after seeing Gage’s character die. “I keep seeing his face everywhere.”
“You witnessed a death, now it’s latched onto you,” another man comforts Riley, who starts seeing the frightening faces all around her – in the dressing room, at her shows, and, even from a young girl at a meet-and-greet.
“Stop smiling at me,” Riley screams as the trailer comes to a close – a car parked with a trail of blood pooling out of it.
The film also stars Rosemarie DeWitt, Kyle Gallner, Dylan Gelula, Raúl Castillo and Miles Gutierrez-Riley.
