CLOT and adidas Celebrate the Year of the Horse in This Week's Best Footwear Drops
The duo’s two new sneakers are joined by the final NIGO x Nike Air Force 3s, the return of a LNY-themed Nike Kobe 8 Protro, and gnuhr x norda’s new gnorda lineup.
The stage is set for Super Bowl LX. A rematch of 2015’s Super Bowl XLIX is in place, with Sam Darnold and the Seattle Seahawks taking on Drake Maye and the New England Patriots. While we have a week off from the high-stakes action, footwear brands aren’t slowing down their output. New Balance, norda, Nike, Salomon, adidas, and Jordan Brand have all prepared notable drops this week, including several running shoes and Lunar New Year-themed drops.
Before we dive into the upcoming releases, let’s look back at last weeks headlines. On the feature side, we put together another edition of the best footwear trends at Paris Fashion Week, highlighting what attendees wore.
As for Nike, its new global ambassador, LISA, starred in the latest NikeSKIMS campaign. The Swoosh also had its next Supreme collaboration leak: three colorways of an SB-branded Air Max CB 94 Low. Meanwhile, the brand has proven that there are many more special Air Max 95 colorways to come, including a hiking boot-inspired build. Stranger Things is still in the news thanks to a new thematic take on the Air Foamposite One and a range of Converse sneakers.
Elsewhere in the industry, LEGO and Crocs went viral with the announcement of their partnership, led by the wild LEGO Brick Clog. As for fashion week, collaborations that stood out include: the POST ARCHIVE FACTION (PAF) x On CloudSoma, Kiko Kostadinov x Crocs, _J.L-A.L_ x PUMA CELL Geo-1, JiyongKim x PUMA VS1, and the Song for the Mute x adidas Samba. Rounding out the headlines, SZA wore custom “VanSZA” sneakers by jeweler Rachel Goatley.
Now that you’re up to speed on what’s been going on in the sneaker space, let’s look ahead at what’s to come next, starting with another New Balance ABZORB 2010 drop. Notably, this pair is already available via HBX, where you should head after completing your walkthrough of the round-up.
New Balance ABZORB 2010 “Tornado”
Release Date: January 28
Release Price: $160 USD
Where to Buy: New Balance
Why You Should Cop: The progressive design language of last year’s New Balance ABZORB sneakers, the 2000 and 2010, remains as relevant as ever in 2026. Looking to the latter, it is back this week in a new “Tornado” composition that leans on faded black and dark silver metallic notes, resulting in a subtle look that is still rich with detail. As the name suggests, ABZORB cushioning backs every step while a translucent TPU stability web shank is present at the midfoot.
gnuhr x norda 002 & 008
Release Date: January 29
Release Price: $145 USD to $295 USD
Where to Buy: gnuhr and norda
Why You Should Cop: It’s hard to overstate how perfect of partners gnuhr and norda are. Both founded in the 2020s, they’ve each carved out their own lane in the outdoor “gear” scene, earning praise for both function and form. Now, the two have combined for their collaborative gnorda range that includes two footwear offerings: co-branded takes on the 002 and 008. The former is dubbed as the “world’s most responsive trail running shoe,” and features a bio-circular Dyneema upper in brown and a special Vibram sole unit. Meanwhile, the 008 is a recovery slide that is ready to turn heads in sky blue while sporting a huge “gnorda” callout at the footbed.
Nike ACG Ultrafly Trail “Total Orange”

Release Price: $260 USD
Where to Buy: Nike
Why You Should Cop: Another trail-ready running shoe is set to drop on the 29th. The Nike ACG team has circled back to running as a focal point and has prepared the ACG Ultrafly Trail as a premium option for explorative runs. ZoomX foam combines with a full-length carbon plate to ensure a smooth ride. Elsewhere, its breathable mesh upper is also lightweight and durable. Backing each pair is a Vibram Megagrip outsole for durability and traction. Debuting in “Trail Orange,” the bright hue will stand out no matter what the terrain is.

Why You Should Cop: If you’re looking for a brighter pair of New Balance sneakers to cop this week, you’re in luck. These hues grace everything from the T500 court shoe to the ABZORB 2010, 204L, and another running silhouette, the FuelCell Rebel v5.
NAKED Copenhagen x Salomon XT-6 GORE-TEX
Release Date: January 30
Release Price: $210 USD
Where to Buy: NAKED
Why You Should Cop: NAKED Copenhagen is back with another Salomon collaboration. We’ve seen the European duo link up several times in the past, now, they’ve again teamed up to rework the XT-6. The Salomon staple features a GORE-TEX upper while combining white with chocolate brown and beige tones. Nods to the GORE-TEX build are joined by a NAKED Copenhagen shoutout that can be spotted at the red tongue tape.
NIGO x Nike Air Force 3 “College” Pack
Release Date: January 31
Release Price: $150 USD
Where to Buy: Human Made
Why You Should Cop: NIGO’s steady stream of Nike Air Force 3 collaborations is finally drying up. The duo announced that these two colorways are set to be the final ones to drop, at least for the foreseeable future. This time around, they’ve looked to collegiate styles for inspiration. “Forest Green” and “Midnight Navy” looks embrace a vintage appeal with special co-branding. What sets these pairs apart is the inclusion of Pendleton wool in the build, which is nodded to via the sockliner tag.
CLOT x adidas Superstar Dress Shoe & Qi Flow “Lunar New Year”
Release Date: January 31
Release Price: TBC
Where to Buy: adidas
Why You Should Cop: CLOT and adidas’ East-meets-West design language is back for another drop. This time around, the duo is celebrating the Lunar New Year with a range of designs dedicated to the Year of the Horse. On the footwear side, a new edition of the Superstar Dress shoe combines cowhide horse print at the upper with a leather construction. Joining the familiar silhouette is a new one, the Qi Flow. Inspired by kung fu, its sleek build features a nylon upper, satin collar, and pearl and frog-button closures. Completing the pair is the same espadrille-inspired outsole that we’ve seen the two use several times previously.
Nike Kobe 8 Protro “Year of the Horse”
Release Date: January 31
Release Price: $200 USD
Where to Buy: SNKRS
Why You Should Cop: The Swoosh is also ready to celebrate the Year of the Horse this week. However, instead of stepping into a new direction, it’s revisiting a classic. 2014’s Kobe 8 “Year of the Horse” is set to return, this time in Protro form. The vivid colorway pairs a red engineered mesh upper with golden branding, including the Swooshes on each side. Bright blue brings contrast to the lining and the court-ready outsole to finish the recreation.
Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Medium Olive”
Release Date: January 31
Release Price: $145 USD
Where to Buy: SNKRS
Why You Should Cop: “Medium Olive” returns to the Air Jordan 1 Low OG this week. Unlike the previously-issued Travis Scott collaboration featuring the earthy hue, this similar composition isn’t going to be as nearly difficult to get your hands on. A white leather base is covered in its titular shade, sporting a nubuck construction. Black leather Swooshes are placed at each side of the sneaker, matching the color of the heel tab’s Wings logo. “Sail” graces the midsole while “Medium Olive” finds itself at the rubber outsole as well.
New Balance AC Runner “Tangerine Heat”

Why You Should Cop: We introduced New Balance’s newest silhouette, the AC Runner, at the turn of the year.
