OAMC's FW19 Collection Gets Poetic With Plaids, Prints and Technical Details

Luke Meier‘s keen eye for giving luxe street looks a proper edit is no secret — he’s master at offering minimalist designs with a slightly rakish feel. For Fall/Winter 2019, OAMC becomes a bit more personal for the creative as he references the ’90s, specifically the music scene in Vancouver and Seattle during that era as well as Matthew Barney’s exhibition at New York’s Guggenheim. There’s also a nod to musician and artist Daniel Johnston.
In terms of the clothing, the aforementioned inspirations can be seen as prints and graphics on some of the tees, knits and sweats. Voluminous coats are the main focus here as it becomes the foundation for the layered ensembles. Plaids are used in a strategic manner — not too much not too little, and can be mixed and matched properly for the more adventurous dresser. Trousers are slouchier than usual with some having a wider leg and even going past ankle-length. Other standouts include the knits, soft puffers and of course the TYPE-01 sneaker in collaboration with adidas. Take a full look at the collection above.
