OAMC is a contemporary menswear clothing label founded by Arnaud Faeh and creative director Luke Meier in 2013. Chris Gibbs of Los Angeles-based store Union was also present during the brand’s inception, but left the project after a short time. OAMC is a 4-letter vehicle that stands for different concepts (ex. Over All Master Cloth, Olympic Alpine Mountain Club). Merging functionality with premium materials and modern construction techniques, the label immediately gained recognition in early 2014 with its inaugural spring/summer men’s collection. Collections feature workwear-inspired silhouettes and fine tailoring, and the OAMC logo is kept to minimal branding. Graphic prints are laser-cut and bonded, while some are embroidered onto garments. OAMC has grown to be known for its “tough high fashion,” and its ability to blend elements of technical sportswear with streetwear staples and refined tailoring make the label’s approach to design more akin to high-end fashion houses than traditional heritage brands. OAMC is sold worldwide at a variety of stockists including Roden Gray, colette Paris, END. Clothing, Mr Porter, Selfridge’s, HAVEN, SSENSE and Dover Street Market, as well as its online webstore.
