Mariah The Scientist has been busy gearing up for the release of her fourth studio album, HEARTS SOLD SEPARATELY. After making a grand return to the scene with “Burning Blue,” the songstress has now shared the album’s second pre-release single, which marks her first-ever collaboration with Kali Uchis.
Entitled “Is It a Crime,” the track transpires as a long-overdue link-up between the two R&B pioneers. Clocking in at just over three minutes, Mariah kicks it off with the first verse and chorus before handing it off to Uchis, the two proving an effortless sonic synergy.
Though we don’t have a music video quite yet, based on Mariah’s recent Instagram posts, it appears we can expect one in due time.
While HEARTS SOLD SEPARATELY’s tracklist hasn’t been set in stone yet, we do know that the LP will have 10 tracks, “Is It A Crime” and “Burning Blue” landing as tracks four and five, respectively.
