For Ari Lennox‘s birthday, she gave us all a gift. The “Shea Butter Baby” songstress has lifted the veil on her first studio track of 2025, a just-over-three-minute single dubbed “Soft Girl Era.”

“Happy Birthday to me 💅🏾,” she wrote in an Instagram caption. The track is produced by Jermaine Dupri and Bryan-Michael Cox and is expected to usher in a new era for the artist – which seems to indicate a new album as part of the package.

Earlier this month, Lennox shared the below post with blurred-out album details on the whiteboard beside her.

After appearing on Foggieraw’s “Stay Awhile” and “War” with Camper and Jeremih, Ari made her solo return to the music scene last year when she dropped off “Smoke” in October. She then followed up with a favored feature on Jessie Reyez’s PAID IN MEMORIES LP “JUST LIKE THAT.”

Stream “Soft Girl Era” on Spotify and Apple Music now and stay tuned for more updates on Ari Lennox’s next move.
