The debut Moncler and Jil Sander collection draws its core inspiration from the tranquil elegance of the natural world, subtly referencing Moncler’s mountain heritage. Known for its sophisticated precision, Jil Sander’s design language is evident throughout the collaboration.
The co-created collection embodies Jil Sander’s iconic codes of clean lines, refined silhouettes, neutral palettes, and natural textures, all reinterpreted through Moncler’s signature aesthetic and advanced winter insulation expertise. This fusion creates a compelling play of contrasts, blending the soft with the tough, and the plush with the hardy and functional.
The collection is characterized by voluminous layering and a sense of “roundness,” taking cues from snow-capped peaks, rolling hills, dense foliage, and smooth pebbles. This natural influence results in designs such as bulbous jackets, padded cardigans, and dome-shaped skirts. Natural fibers enhance the refined sensibility, with key materials including soft double wool, lightweight washed cotton twill, and an innovative long-haired wool. Plush cardigans and coats layer luxurious fabrics with Moncler’s signature down-filled nylon, providing cutting-edge winter warmth.
The Moncler and Jil Sander collection is now available in selected Moncler and Jil Sander stores, and on the Moncler and Jil Sander websites. It will also be featured at a special pop-up at Isetan Shinjuku, Japan; for menswear on the ground floor, the pop-up runs until December 2 and womenswear on the third floor will run until November 25.
