GU is launching its first-ever collaboration with Engineered Garments. This partnership is driven by the brands’ shared commitment to craftsmanship and is centered on the theme of “Manhattanism.” The resulting collection features a range of items that draw inspiration from vintage clothing and military elements, reflecting the New York movement of the 1970s.
The lineup consists of five pieces: a Padded Shell Parka, a Boa Fleece Snap Parka, a Cable Shawl Collar Cardigan, a Heavyweight Sweat Pullover with a vintage print, and Heavyweight Sweatpants. Key features include the Padded Shell Parka, which is made from windproof material and has a versatile, two-way design, allowing its length can be adjusted by folding up the hem with dot buttons. Another standout item is the Heavyweight Sweatpants with a central front crease design, offering a neat and sleek look perfect for going out.
The Engineered Garments x GU collection will be available for purchase at all GU stores and the official online store starting December 5. Prices will range from ¥2,990 JPY to ¥9,900 JPY (approx. $20 – $60 USD).
