skaiwater Returns With "pop"
Their first single since ‘#gigi.’

skaiwater has shared their first single of 2025, which also marks their first single since the release of their communally acclaimed #gigi album. The album dropped back in June, putting the UK artist on the radar of many after it began raking in high reviews. Now, the emerging rapper has unveiled their first release since last summer’s album: a true-to-form offering dubbed “pop.”
The just-under three-minute track is a solo effort from skai, who also handles the production alongside Elkan and anca trio plus one. Defined by the young rapper’s signature staccato delivery and sleek yet frenetic production style, “pop” further strengthens skai’s genre-blurring vision, heavily informed by their experience as a nonbinary individual.
“Pop out with me, it’s okay (It’s okay; phew) / Yeah, pop out with me, girl we safe / Yeah, I text her whole gang (Whole gang) / Yeah, I spend a whole thing (Whole thing),” skai spits on the bouncy chorus.
skaiwater just made their Rolling Loud debut at the festival’s Miami event, set to return to the now two-day California Rolling Loud festival in March.
Stream “pop” – out everywhere now.
