Peter McKinnon Teams Up with Insta360 for a Limited Edition X4 Pro Camera

Canadian photographer and filmmaker Peter McKinnon has teamed up with Insta360 for a special edition of its X4 Pro action camera.

The ‘Peter McKinnon Edition Pro Bundle’ is an all-in-one package that includes the company’s recently launched flagship 360º action camera with an all-new foldable ‘2-in-1 Selfie Stick’, memory card and battery. The new selfie stick has been designed with portability in mind and, when folded down, has similar dimensions to the camera itself – this, together with the fact it can be mounted directly onto the camera, allows the two to form a travel friendly packable little ‘brick’.

Along with the standard ‘Pro Bundle’, Insta360 is making 200 units of a ‘Limited edition Bundle’ that comes with additional items curated by McKinnon from his other product collaborations, including a ‘PM Camera Tool’, McKinnon Camera Sling 5L and PM Lightroom V5 Presets Card – an Adobe Lightroom ready preset that allows fans of the artist to replicate his look in their own photos.

The Insta360 X4 camera is a super high-resolution 360º camera that’s capable of shooting 8K at 30fps, 5.7K at 60fps, and 4K slow-motion at 100fps. Insta360 is also touting it as “two cameras in one”, since it can be used as a standard wide-angle action camera when switched to ‘Single-Lens Mode’ to save users the need to carry multiple devices. It can be mounted in multiple positions and users can control the camera by voice or gesture thanks to the camera’s 5nm AI chip, and the X4 features removable lens guards – a much requested upgrade that wasn’t available in the previous iteration of the camera. The Peter McKinnon X4 features the artist’s signature on both the body of the camera and the accompanying accessories.

Both the ‘Peter McKinnon Edition Pro Bundle’ ($629 USD) and the ‘Limited Edition Bundle’ ($869 USD) are available now, with the latter being exclusive to the US and Canada.
