Porsche Teams Up with PUMA to Celebrate 50 Years of the 911 Turbo
Releasing twelve different sneaker designs, each limited to 911 units.
Porsche has announced its latest project with PUMA, a massive sneaker collection celebrating 50 years of the 911 Turbo. The collection features 12 distinct designs, each limited to 911 units.
Two of the models, the “Turbo No. 1” and “Turbo 930,” pay homage to historic Porsche vehicles with designs that echo their iconic features. The “Turbo No. 1” sneaker, inspired by the Porsche presented to Louise Piëch on her 70th birthday, is crafted in metallic silver with a red and blue tartan interior, reflecting the original 911 Turbo’s design. The “Turbo 930” sneaker, in Oak Green Metallic, honors Dr. Ferry Porsche’s 1976 Turbo, complete with a green tartan interior.
Both sneakers feature premium materials, with full-grain leather on the “Turbo No. 1” and nubuck leather on the “Turbo 930.” The dynamic turbo lettering, 3D-printed Porsche Crest on the heel and a commemorative plaque for the 50th anniversary add to the shoes’ distinctive appeal.
In addition to these models, Porsche is launching ten market-exclusive editions, each inspired by a specific 911 Turbo from markets like the U.S., Japan, and Germany. These limited editions are available in the corresponding markets. The collection will be available starting August 29, 2024, at Porsche’s online store and the Porsche Museum Shop, priced at €169 EUR or $190 USD.
