Official Images of Five Nike Kobe 8 Protros
Starring the “Lakers Home,” “Hollywood Nights,” “Wolf Grey,” “University Red” and “College Navy” colorways, which all release early next month.
While Nike Basketball’s Kobe Day celebrations have wrapped up, with not only the release of the Kobe 9 Elite Protro “Halo” but a restock of several sought-after pairs having taken place as well, there’s plenty more to come from the legendary line this year. The Kobe 8 Protro has been spotted in various looks throughout 2024, including a wide lineup of team-oriented colorways that have just been officially unveiled by Nike ahead of their early September release date.
Kicking off the five pairs to come, a “Lakers Home” rendition sees the low-top sneaker presented in white with Lakers purple at the Swooshes and lateral heel’s signature detail as the franchise’s gold hits the Nike Kobe branding at the tongue and heel. From there, another purple and gold finish is set to drop with the “Hollywood Nights” colorway inverting the purple and gold locations while combining a black upper with a grey outsole. Speaking of grey, the “Wolf Grey” finish sees the Kobe 8 Protro drenched in the concrete hue from collar to sole. “University Red” enters the mix with a red upper accented by white at the various branding elements and the court-ready outsole. The “College Navy” pair rounds things out with the same detailing, save for the red being replaced by a dark blue hue.
At the time of writing, Nike has not yet officially announced when all five of these upcoming Kobe 8 Protro colorways will be releasing. That being said, each pair is currently expected to drop on September 6 via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a price of $190 USD each.
