On-Feet Look at the Nike Kobe 8 Protro "University Red"

When it comes to basketball shoes, the Nike Kobe 8 Protro has been one of the most coveted shoes in the game. The resurgence of the iconic Nike Kobe line has given both basketball, Swoosh and Black Mamba fans a chance to be a part of a community, leading to several new Kobe 8 Protros resurfacing later this year.
One of them include the legendary “University Red” iteration. Taking a simple, yet striking color blocking to the shoe, the Nike Kobe 8 Protro is slated to arrive in a classic university red and white color scheme. The revamped silhouette continues to draw inspiration from the Team Bank editions and sees the bold red hit the engineered mesh upper while white accents details like the Swoosh, Kobe branding and signature on the tongue and the heel and heel counter. The shoe also sits atop a white React cushioned mid and outsole that contrasts the red tongues, laces, inner lining to round out the design.
Look out for the Nike Kobe 8 Protro “University Red” arriving this fall at select retailers and online at Nike for $190 USD.
