Here's Your Chance to Be an Extra in 'Happy Gilmore 2'
Casting starts this month in New Jersey.
27 years after Happy Gilmore made its big screen debut, a sequel is finally on the way thanks to Netflix. Rumors of Adam Sandler reprising his role as the washed up hockey player-turned big hitting golfer started in earnest in 2022 when Sandler floated the possibility to Variety, and since then Netflix has confirmed that the wheels are in motion. Well things just got even more real, because the streaming giant has just made an open casting call for extras to be a part of Happy Gilmore 2.
Organized by Grant Wilfley Casting Inc., the signup landing page notes that auditions will be conducted on August 20 between 1 and 8PM EST at the Hyatt Regency Morristown Plaza Ballroom, with actual filming set to take place between September and November 2024. The flyer goes on to say that no acting experience is required, and those who make the cut can expect to be paid $176 USD for 10 hours of work (or $216 USD for 8 hours if you’re a SAG-AFTRA member). Those hoping to complete their next side quest by sharing a screen with Adam Sandler can sign up for auditions here.
