Update: While many sneakerheads are looking forward to the return of the Nike Air Foamposite One “Galaxy” next week, another colorway is due to drop soon. This “Black/Volt” iteration, which we initially previewed below via a sample pair that surfaced last June, combines an all-black look with bold “Volt” detailing located at the forefoot Swoosh, tongue, heel tab, heel branding and the semi-translucent outsole. Release is now expected to take place on March 1 via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a starting price of $240 USD.
Original Story: Nike is bringing a contrasting and electric colorway to the Air Foamposite One. The iconic retro basketball silhouette receives a refreshed look, coming in “Black/Volt” for next year.
The bold colorway sees the upper hit with an all-black make that is constructed out of breathable mesh that is also seen on the inner bootie, collar and tongue. The shoe also features premium nubuck eyestays for the added luxe look, complementing the classic Foamposite shell. The volt green gives the shoe the extra pop of color, surely turning heads as it hits the Swoosh, pull tabs and rubber outsole for that extra dose of energy. A black carbon fiber shank plate lines the underfoot for added stability and aesthetic flair.
Instagram account @donniebsoles posted the initial look on the platform, calling it a sample in a size US 9. It has reportedly been sold, according to the Instagram account.
