Since ASICS brought the GEL-KAYANO 20 — a stability-focused running shoe initially released in 2013 — back as a lifestyle option in the middle of 2024, it’s enjoyed quite a run. The model has been the centerpiece of collaborations with partners like Bodega, HAL Studios and UNAFFECTED (the last of which Kendrick Lamar sported at Super Bowl LIX‘s media day), seen a reimagining at the hands of Kiko Kostadinov and released in a swath of appealing in-line colorways. Those in-line colorways are being bolstered further this month, as a new “Cream/Deep Marine” style has been released.
A blend of sky and sea, the “Cream/Deep Marine” takes the first part of its moniker from the light tones used on its upper and the latter from its bold patterned overlays and Tiger Stripe detailing. Rich flat and metallic blues are splashed across the top half, and accented by tasteful hits of pink and powder blue, while down below, the dual-density foam midsole boasts red GEL cushioning. Blue outsoles and midfoot stability shanks round off the look.
