Kobe Bryant’s final adidas signature shoe is making a long-awaited return. The adidas Crazy 2, formerly the Kobe 2, is set to drop in its bold “Silver Metallic” colorway, reviving one of the early 2000s’ most polarizing basketball sneakers.

Released in 2001, the Kobe 2 drew inspiration from the Audi TT Roadster, featuring a futuristic, streamlined design that stood out from traditional basketball shoes. However, its bulky silhouette contributed to Kobe’s decision to leave adidas for Nike, where he built one of the most legendary signature sneaker lines in history.

Despite its mixed reception at launch, the Crazy 2’s bold design now aligns effortlessly with today’s Y2K-inspired sneaker trends. The “Silver Metallic” edition boasts a shiny synthetic leather upper with sleek black accents, while its signature oversized midsole with deep grooves remains unchanged, offering both style and performance. The iconic three stripes are subtly integrated into the outsole design, staying true to adidas’ heritage.

One key change is the branding – due to Kobe’s estate no longer being affiliated with adidas, the shoe has been officially rebranded as the Crazy 2, following adidas’ approach to previous Kobe-era retros.
