Nike Basketball and Kevin Durant are set to introduce their 18th sneaker together this week with the Nike KD 18 joining the nine-shoe “Black Label” collection. Despite this development, the duo continues to look to the past with more colorways of the KD 4 as well. The silhouette made its return last year with many fan-favorite looks having re-released since.

Adding to the growing list of KD 4 reissues, SneakerMarketRO has shared a new report that indicates that 2012’s “Gold Medal” colorway will be releasing once again this year. The USA-themed sneaker celebrated Durant’s first Olympic gold medal in 2012 and will now commemorate the winning of his fourth gold medal in a row, having just triumphed in last year’s Summer Olympics in Paris. While we lack a preview of this year’s version of the colorway, it is likely to maintain its gold, red and blue color scheme.

At the time of writing, Nike Basketball has not yet confirmed that Kevin Durant’s KD 4 “Gold Medal” will be returning this year. Stay tuned for updates, including a first look at the pair, as we currently expect it to arrive this fall via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a starting price of $130 USD.
