The stage is set for both the 2024 NBA Finals and the 2024 NHL Stanley Cup Finals. The Boston Celtics are due to host game one against the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday, while the Edmonton Oilers are en route to Sunrise to face off in game one against the Florida Panthers. In the meantime, footwear brands including Nike, ASICS, Crocs, Converse and Jordan Brand are all set to deliver significant sneaker launches throughout the week. Before we dive into the week’s most important drops, let’s look back at what key headlines have emerged during the past seven days.

Starting with the slate of footwear features, we sat down with NBA champions-turned-podcast-hosts Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson to discuss their show and its upcoming tour, sneakers and their NBA Finals predictions. We also took the time to chat with Mark Ong aka “Mr Sabotage” to discuss SBTG, Limited Edt and ASICS’ latest entry in their long-running “Monsoon Patrol” series as they now see two GEL-KAYANO 14 colorways dropping under the theme.

As for the traditional news, Jacquemus and HUF each made noise by formally announcing their Nike collaborations across the Air Max 1 ‘86 and Air Max 1 respectively. After an early rumor arrived previously this year, we now have a first look at a new COMME des GARÇONS HOMME PLUS x Nike Air Foamposite One “Olympic” colorway as well. Rounding out the Swoosh’s collaborative news, a detailed look at Trophy Room’s “Home” colorway of its Air Jordan 1 Low OG project hit the net.

Elsewhere in the sneaker space, adidas brought forth another wave of YEEZY launches with everything from the YEEZY BOOST 350 V2 to the YEEZY SLIDE involved. From there, a myriad of collaborations caught our eye with Aimé Leon Dore’s Teddy Santis revealing all three pairs from the label’s forthcoming New Balance 1000 campaign, MM6 Maison Margiela and Salomon followed up on a leak back in May to share details of their X-ALP collection, Nicole McLaughlin flexed a new version of her HOKA Mafate THREE2 and COMME des GARÇONS returned with another absurd Salomon sneaker, this time priced at approximately $2,961 USD.

With all of the past week’s headlines reviewed, let’s go ahead and take a peek at what we can expect from the next seven days of sneaker drops. Afterwards, don’t forget to hit up HBX to shop styles that are available now.

Di’orr Greenwood x Nike SB Dunk High & SB Blazer Mid

Release Date: June 4
Release Price: $110 USD to $145 USD
Where to Buy: SNKRS
Why You Should Cop: Di’orr Greenwood’s Diné Bikéyah (Navajo Nation) roots are embedded in everything she creates — whether it be in her art or demonstrated via her eye-catching skateboarding skills. Celebrating this, Nike has collaborated with her for two special sneakers — an SB Dunk High and a SB Blazer Mid. The former stands out with its colorful arrangement that pays homage to the practice of farming, harvest and growth. As for the SB Blazer Mid, it leans on an all-gray finish that sees nods to Navajo artwork at its midsole pattern and the application of a laser-cut shroud system.

Nike Pegasus 41 “Volt”

Release Date: June 5
Release Price: $140 USD
Where to Buy: SNKRS
Why You Should Cop: The legendary Nike Pegasus line is set to reach its 41st entry this week with the introduction of the Pegasus 41. Arriving in an assortment of colorways, this “Volt” pair is the most electric of the bunch with the brand’s signature neon green joined by black and silver detailing. With the latest version of the Pegasus, you can look forward to new full-length ReactX foam, Air Zoom units at the forefoot and heel, a newly-designed mesh upper and more to ensure a precise balance of comfort and performance.

SBTG x Limited Edt x ASICS GEL-KAYANO 14 “Monsoon Patrol”

Release Date: June 6
Release Price: $222 USD
Where to Buy: Limited Edt and SBTG
Why You Should Cop: Singapore meets Japan with SBTG and Limited Edt teaming up with ASICS once again for a new entry in the trio’s “Monsoon Patrol” series. This time taking on the ever-popular GEL-KAYANO 14, two monochromatic looks in “Cream” and “Black” have been assembled. Both sport military-inspired design elements like the detachable shroud that covers the tongue and the lateral heel’s label. From there, a glossy midsole and translucent coating give the sneaker a special finish.

Nike Air Force 1 Low “Perforated Triple Black”

Release Date: June 6
Release Price: $140 USD
Where to Buy: SNKRS
Why You Should Cop: It may be 42-years-old, but the Air Force 1 Low remains a modern staple thanks to its versatile build. In its five decades of development, countless takes on the sneaker have been created, with the latest look seeing a perforated leather upper included with the shoe’s notorious “Triple Black” colorway.

Naruto Shippuden x Crocs Classic Clog

Release Date: June 6
Release Price: $70 USD
Where to Buy: Crocs
Why You Should Cop: When Crocs first teamed up with the Naruto franchise earlier this year for two character-themed takes on its Classic Clog, fans demanded more. Now, the duo has just done that with the introduction of four new pairs dedicated to Itachi, Minato, Jiraiya and Sasuke. The unique colorways all see a myriad of references included with special Jibbitz designed for each pair.

Carhartt WIP x Converse CONS Pack

Release Date: June 6
Release Price: $80 USD and $85 USD
Where to Buy: SNKRS
Why You Should Cop: Carhartt WIP and Converse have worked together for many years now with the former redesigning many footwear silhouettes from the latter. This time around, the two have looked to the Chuck Taylor Pro and One Star Academy Pro and infused them both with elements of Carhartt’s workwear aesthetic. Both pairs utilize a segmented color scheme of brown, beige and white while featuring special co-branding scattered throughout the two builds.

Nike Kobe 4 Protro “Girl Dad”

Release Date: June 7
Release Price: $190 USD
Where to Buy: SNKRS
Why You Should Cop: As Nike Basketball continues to reintroduce the Kobe line, the Kobe 4 Protro is one of three silhouettes to play a key role in its lineup of launches this year. Its latest look celebrates a special moment between Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gigi when they were courtside at a game together. Its “Bicoastal Green” upper references the Philadelphia Eagles beanie he had on that day while its “Total Orange” sockliner serves as a callout to the WNBA hoodie he was sporting. A chrome heel clip backs the upper while an icy translucent outsole offers court-ready traction. From there a “Girl Dad” embroidered note at the tongue’s interior ties the theme together.

The Shop x Nike LeBron 21

Release Date: June 7
Release Price: $210 USD
Where to Buy: SNKRS
Why You Should Cop: One of LeBron James’ many off-court endeavors is The Shop — a barbershop-themed talk show that he and Maverick Carter are hosts of. With six seasons of the show to date, the two have crafted a celebratory colorway of James’ LeBron 21 that is drenched in a “Metallic Gold” across its upper. Black contrast is delivered at the medial Swoosh and heel alongside The Shop’s logo while an off-white chimes in at the court-ready sole unit.

Air Jordan 6 “Reverse Oreo”

Release Date: June 8
Release Price: $200 USD
Where to Buy: SNKRS
Why You Should Cop: In 2010, Jordan Brand introduced a black and white “Oreo” colorway of the Air Jordan 6. Now, after issuing a “Red Oreo” pair in 2022, it has crafted a “Reverse Oreo” take that leans on white throughout its leather build. As for its “Oreo” detailing — white specks scattered across a black base — that arrives at the heel tab and uppermost portion of the midsole while an icy translucent outsole backs the sneaker.

Air Jordan 3 “Quai 54”

Release Date: May 10
Release Price: $210 USD
Where to Buy: SNKRS
Why You Should Cop: We’re just a few weeks away from the annual hosting of Quai 54 — a streetball event that occurs in Paris each year. With Jordan Brand as the presenting sponsor, it regularly creates thematic colorways for the event, with this year’s collection notably including the Air Jordan 3. This take on the sneaker sees a white upper and a dark gray suede mudguard and collar joined by thematic branding located at both the tongue and the translucent heel tab.
