Gufram x Supertoys Supertoys’ Flowie® Is a Dreamy “Companion Object”
Arriving in Sweet Pink, Sunny Peach and Smooth Pearl.
At this year’s Salone del Mobile, Gufram presented Flowie®, its latest furniture collaboration with Dutch-German art & design duo Supertoys Supertoys.
Designed for both indoor and outdoor use, Flowie® is a soft polyurethane seat that embodies Gufram’s radical aesthetics with Supertoys Supertoys’ “Radical Cuteness” philosophy. Arriving in a part-flower-part-cloud shape, the piece is offered in three dreamy pastel colors: Sweet Pink, Sunny Peach and Smooth Pearl.
Touted by its creators as a “companion object,” Flowie® is said to be “a furnishing complement that becomes a genuine inhabitant of the home, an accessory seamlessly fitting into any style, whether as a standalone piece or a collectible item in its various soft and delicate tones.”
Every piece is meticulously handcrafted and coated in Gufram’s very own Guflac® Ultra paint. The coating enhances polyurethane’s resistance and durability, all the while maintaining its soft and elastic nature. With this release, Supertoys Supertoys explains that it also serves the purpose as “a gentle reminder to take a break, to occasionally gaze at the clouds, tracing familiar shapes while embracing the idea that deep down, we are all magical, we are all dreamers.”
With a price point of around $1,423 USD, Gufram x Supertoys Supertoys’ Flowie® is currently available for order through select retailers such as mohd and MILIA.
