NewJeans Drop Catchy New Single "How Sweet"
Marking the group’s comeback after almost a year.
K-pop stars NewJeans have released their new single, “How Sweet.”
Produced by the group’s regular collaborator 250, the track clocks in at approximately three minutes and 40 seconds and hears Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin and Hyein dive into their blend of electronic-pop. With lyrics in both Korean and English, NewJeans sing about feeling liberated after exiting a toxic relationship, with their chorus featuring a catchy repetition of “Don’t you know how sweet it tastes? / Now that I’m without you.”
“How Sweet” arrives shortly after “Bubble Gum” in late April, and is reportedly marked as NewJeans’ comeback after almost a year following the release of their Get Up EP. “The more you listen, the more charming the song becomes. The song, choreography and styling all bring a fresh style,” NewJeans shared. “We practiced the choreography diligently. Please enjoy it with the dance.”
