Malbon's Performance Line Is the Brand's Most Tech-Forward Yet
First seen on Jason Day at the PGA Championship.

Since bringing professional golfer Jason Day on board at the beginning of the season Malbon Golf has done a good job of using its star athlete to raise awareness around upcoming releases and highlight key products. In the wake of the Masters the infamous Championship Vest which Day was asked to remove by Augusta National officials was released online, and the brand has used a similar strategy after the Australian golfer debuted unreleased pieces at the PGA Championship. Those pieces, which included matching lavender shorts and a quarter-zip, have now released along with a haul of other apparel.
The collection is called the Malbon Performance Line and it’s without a doubt the lifestyle golf brand’s most technically focused one yet. However, if you were expecting a range of conventional golf apparel silhouettes like tailored chinos and belt looped shorts then you don’t really know what Malbon is about. Yes, pique polos are offered in neutral colors, but the 95% Nylon / 5% Lycra is an unconventional choice. Breathable t-shirts are designed to be worn for intense training sessions, as are tech shorts which are designed with elastic waistbands and drawstrings instead of the belt loops. The quarter-zip, which already sold out in lavender, has an adjustable cord at the waist and a nice touch of the branding on the reverse side in the form of a perforated M.
Pieces from the collection range between $40 and $150 USD and are available on Malbon’s website now.
