God’s True Cashmere and WILDSIDE Yohji Yamamoto Come Together for an Exclusive Collaboration
Featuring two special shirts.
Under the Yohji Yamamoto umbrella, the designer has WILDSIDE, which is dedicated to edgy, conceptual craftsmanship. But what also is exciting about the project is its appetite for collaboration which has untied with names like NEEDLES, WACKO MARIA and more over the years. Now WILDSIDE Yohji Yamamoto has joined forces with God’s True Cashmere for an exclusive collaboration.
For the new capsule, the brands faced each other – fusing each other’s ethos and personalities to form something new, yet familiar. What came out of the effort are two unisex shirts that lean into tailoring and bridged style notes. To note, the first shirt leans into WILDSIDE Yohji Yamamoto’s signature fit while reimagining God’s True Cashmere’s plum tartan. The next shirt flips it – leaning into the cashmere brand’s traditional fit and transforming it with the WILDSIDE Yohji Yamamoto style.
“I am extremely excited to have done this project with Yohji and his team and grateful to Paola Russo, Just One Eye for the vision and introductions,” said God’s True Cashmere co-founder, Sat Hari. “The collaboration challenged the traditional concept of what a God’s True Cashmere shirt can be, exploring lines and deconstruction in a way that is quintessentially Yohji Yamamoto, resulting in a unique garment which embraces our love for craftsmanship and luxury.”
The God’s True Cashmere x WILDSIDE Yohji Yamamoto collaboration is set to launch on Monday, May 27 in-store at WILDSIDE Yohji Yamamoto in Osaka, at Larforet Harajuku in Tokyo Just One Eye in Los Angeles and online.
