ASICS Tosses up Two New Pairs of GEL-KAYANO 14’s
Featuring “Olympic Medals” and “Metallic Pastel.”
This summer is set to be lively with all of the normal summer fun and a range of global special events. ASICS is gearing up for the season with two new GEL-KAYANO 14 editions that lean into those moments with “Olympic Medals” and “Metallic Pastel.”
First up is the “Olympic Medals” colorway, which aptly celebrates the forthcoming start of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. The shoe’s mesh upper is done up in crisp white. But as a nod to winning medals, the shoe’s toe cap, heel and select tongue detailing see vivid gold. Elsewhere, the shoe features silver eyestays, a beige/silver ASICS lateral decal, a beige midsole with GEL units and a black outsole.
Leaning into summertime fun, the “Metallic Pastel” colorway also includes a crisp white mesh base, but the colors take over the rest. The toe cap and heels see lavender and royal purple shades, while the eyestays and select side portions are done in sky blue. As the name suggests, the range of colors is finished with metallic tints for an extra eye-catching touch. Rounding out the shoe is a white/lavender ASICS lateral decal, a beige midsole and a stone gray outsole.
Retailing for $150 USD each, the ASICS GEL-KAYANO 14 “Olympic Medals” and “Metallic Pastel” colorways are set to release sometime this summer or fall. Stay tuned for official release dates.
