Update: After teasing the sneaker earlier this year, Matthew M Williams has returned with a proper unveiling of his latest shoe with the Swoosh — introducing the Nike Zoom MMW 6 TRD Run. Designed for treadmill use, the sleek sneaker arrives in two colorways of “Enigma Stone” and “Triple Black,” offering monochromatic makeovers in gray and black respectively. Its running-oriented technical specifications begin with a lightweight Flyknit upper that is absent of branding, save for its “MMW” hit at the tongue. From there, the sizable sole unit combines full-length carbon fiber plates and React foam with a co-branded Air unit at the forefoot. Release is set to take place via 1017 ALYX 9SM’s website on May 9. The shoe will also be available through retailers like HBX following after.

Original Story: American multi-hyphenate Matthew M Williams has recently reprised his partnership with Nike by launching a collaborative yoga collection, a project he previously teased in an interview with Hypebeast when discussing his label 1017 ALYX 9SM’s Nike Air Force 1 Low collaboration late last year. In addition to highlighting the apparel range, a new sneaker silhouette was teased throughout promotional material for the yoga-themed collection. Now, we have a complete look at the new shoe: the Nike Zoom MMW 6 TRD Run.

Featuring a shape reminiscent of Nike’s race-ready Air Zoom Alphafly NEXT% line, the Zoom MMW 6 TRD Run sports a lightweight knit upper and a large, sculpted sole unit with Air visible at the forefoot. Arriving first in “Triple Black,” the colorway lacks any color throughout its build, opting for a tonal finish for its lateral heel’s reverse Swooshes while the “MMW” branding at the tongue replicates this approach as well. A gray iteration was also teased, though a closer look at the arrangement has not surfaced just yet.

At the time of writing, neither Matthew M Williams nor Nike have confirmed when their Zoom MMW 6 TRD Run silhouette will be making its debut. Stay tuned for updates as it’s likely to arrive in the coming weeks via Nike SNKRS, 1017 ALYX 9SM and select retailers. Based on product pages that boutiques accidentally published early, it’s likely to cost around $300 USD.
